Clippers forward Craig Smith has undergone arthroscopic right knee surgery.
The team said Tuesday that Smith will be sidelined four to six weeks.
He averaged 7.8 points and 3.8 rebounds in 75 games last season.
Free agent Rasual Butler, who establish a franchise record for 3-pointers made and attempted last season, signed with the Clippers, the team announced Wednesday.
Butler's signing gives the team 13 players under contract.
